Amongst its main objectives are to boost the cultural offer in the Archipelago, which despite its insularity, has traditionally enjoyed a wide variety of world famous classical music events as well as to gain an international status through something more than the traditional sun and beach tourism which typifies the islands.

In its XXI edition, the Festival will be privileged to have amongst others: “The London Symphony Orchestra” under the direction of Bernard Haitink, “WDR Sinfonierochester of Köln” with Semyon Bychkow, the “Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra”,the “Budapest Festival Orchestra” the “Simfónica de Tenerife” and the “Filarmónica de Gran Canaria”.

The Festival starts every year on 7 th of January and lasts until the second week in February. It takes place mainly in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and In Santa Cruz de Tenerife .
